Private portability

Back up or export this device

JSON backup preserves saved profiles, the active ledger, completed tables and drill bests. Restore previews the file contents and keeps a recovery journal until every write is verified. CSV exports only the current session. Both files can contain player names and ledger details; nothing is uploaded automatically.

Why this exists

A calculator alone cannot settle a house rule

Singapore Mahjong payouts

At this site's default table, one Tai starts at one point and each Tai doubles the base. A discard win uses double/single/single payments; self-draw makes all three pay double. Your family may use a different stake schedule or liability rule.

House rules are product settings

Minimum Tai, the cap, Ping Hu, Bao, passed claims, animals and multiple winners affect the legal result—not merely the wording. Save them together and share the same profile before play.

Use the complete pre-game checklist

Learn, then practise

New players can move from an explanation to visual examples, discard practice and a full AI table without changing sites or pretending every household plays identically.

Singapore Mahjong scorer FAQ

Is this an official Singapore Mahjong ruleset?

No. Singapore Mahjong is played with consequential house-rule differences. The default matches this site's tested practice table; the profile exists so your group can name its own choices.

Does the session scorer use cash?

No. It records non-convertible points only and does not hold funds, calculate transfers or enable wagering.

Where is my table saved?

Profiles, the current ledger and up to twelve completed tables stay in this browser's local storage. There is no account or cloud history. After the first online visit, the public companion interface can be cached for offline use. A shared profile link contains only the rule choices and profile name—not your player names or session ledger.

Can all four players use the same profile?

Yes. Send the profile by WhatsApp, use Share profile, or show the on-device table QR. Opening it names the inviting table, loads the same rule choices, and lets each device save its own copy and start scoring.

What does Bao mean in Singapore Mahjong?

Bao · 包牌 is a full-liability house rule. On the default profile, the player who feeds a specified dangerous exposed set remains responsible for the eventual winning-hand payout. Other tables apply Bao only to the winning discard or turn it off. Agree both the trigger and duration before play, then open the Bao ruling under your profile.

Can Ping Hu have flowers or a one-tile wait?

On the strict profile, Ping Hu · 平胡 has four Chows, an unvalued pair and no bonus tiles. A discard win cannot use a one-type wait; self-draw is exempt from that wait restriction. Other Singapore tables differ, so compare the Ping Hu answer under your profile.

What happens after passing Hu?

On the default profile, passing Hu locks Hu on that tile until your next draw. Passing an eligible Pong, Kong or Chi separately locks that tile for set claims until the next draw. Other groups use a Hu-only lock or no lock. Open the passed-Hu ruling and share the exact convention with your table.

Can beginners practise our exact house rules?

Yes. The ten-scenario table drill is generated from the active profile, including its minimum Tai, cap, self-draw, Bao, passed-Hu, Ping Hu, multiple-winner and immediate-payment choices. Explanations link to the guide. Your best result stays on this device unless you choose to challenge a kaki. The shared link carries this profile and opens the same ten situations in one tap, without player names or session ledgers.
